I would very politely tell your neighbor that you would prefer to discuss business matters during typical business hours, say eight to five, and after that, you close down the shop. Thank her for bringing this matter to your attention, and let her know you will discuss it with your agent tomorrow. Let her know it’s time for bed. I think this is more of a business matter than legal. If you probe, you may find out that other “issues” are lingering beneath the surface.

I would avoid putting legal issues in to the context, as it will sour the deal.

Is there some type of written protection for us as home sellers stating there to be no contact with us directly from our home buyer? We are in a situation that a neighbor is buying our home and she is showing up in the evening to basically threaten to pull her offer that our agent added an addendum to changing the settlement date by 1.5 weeks. She is doing a 1031 deal and feels changing the date is inapropriate and doesn’t like the change, in essence giving her in her eyes the right to come to our home late in the evening after the lights are off and knock to discuss her dislike of this. I certainly don’t appreciate it and advised her to discuss her concerns with her agent and change it and maybe we’ll accept it, maybe not. HELP!?!?!?!
Heather please email me directly with any advice!! THANK YOU!!

If you are represented by counsel then the buyer is prohibited from direct contact with you. Your attorney should “remind” their attorney of such.
