Portion of property dedication, Ca - Posted by j

I am being asked by a developer next to my property to dedicate/donate 30 feet of my property, which they are being required to aquire to build a road for city standards/road way purposes. What would you do in my case? ask for compensation? tax break? etc… this road won’t be built until a yr or so…but they sure are eager to get me to sign…

Sounds like the developer NEEDS your land for their project. You might consider getting some competant representation to ensure that you get paid what you deserve.

It is the developer who wants the land, and that 30 feet is worth a ton of money to you, no cash, no land, no deal, tell them try again next year. Don’t reduce the value of your property without getting at least twice the amount your property value is going to be reduced. They need you, you don’t need them.
Billy, for this post anyway
