I am just starting also. The only thing I can say (and this advice has been given to me also) is to learn as much as you can. Decide what niche you want to focus on. and find a local RE Investment club to join.

I would add to find the local Real Estate Investors Association club in your area. This way you can network with and learn from other investors in your neck of the woods. You can find contact information on a REIA club near you at:
