Peter Conti’s REI Mentorship Program - Posted by Hugo Hanriot Jr.

Hello everyone,

I recently got Peter Conti’s free “Mutliple Streams of Income” book that was advertised on this site.

I got the book today & went through it quickly. At the end of the book, there are ads for various products he sells, & a mentorship program that he runs. Supposedly, there are 3 levels of tuition that you can choose from. One of them involves paying no tuition & splitting your 1st 2 deals 50/50 with Mr. Conti.

He has a guarantee that within 90 days of leaving the intensive training portion of his Mentorship Program you’ll complete at least 1 deal with $10,000 or more in locked in profits or you get a complete refund of your tuition.

I’ve read some books on real estate investing, but I’ve come to the conclusion that I really need a mentor to help get me started. I live in the Boulder area of CO & Mr. Conti’s his Mentorship Program are located in CO.

So how is his reputation? Would his organization be a good one to get mentored under? Are there any other people in the Boulder/Denver area that you guys would recommend?

There was a was free on-line program that that I tried for a while, but it wasn’t really what I was looking for. I was not totally sold on the system. I really would like to find a mentor or a group of people in my area & get involved in real estate investing.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advanced.

I went through the same thing last fall. I live in Denver. I read the book and saw the same advertisements. When I called to discuss it, they had someone call me back. I do not recall his name but at the end, the deal was about $5000 for a year. They would help me find and close deals and I would have someone working closely with me. Lots of pressure to buy right then and there. I didn’t, but I asked if there were others in the Front Range area that had been successful with this program and would be willing to provide references. I was told there were lots of people but when he called back the next day, it was only a sales pitch and he told me he was still trying to contact some references in my area. And asked me for the $5000 again. I told him that I was waiting for him to produce some real live references for me to speak with before I sunk 1 penny into the mentorship program. He said he would call me back with some references.

And I never heard from him again.

Maybe he lost my number. Otherwise, I am somewhat skeptical. I don’t think that asking to speak with other students or former students is too much to ask before I commit $5000 to someone I have never met in person. I don’t bear any grudge against the organization but their lack of response raised red flags for me.

There is a local real estate investor group in our area called the Colorado Association of Real Estate Investors (www.carei.com) who offer monthly meetings that average over 200 people. I have learned a lot from the meetings and met lots of other local investors of all types. There is a meeting tomorrow night if you are interested and the format will be a roundtable discussion of the current local investing environment.

I have spent the last 6 months reading as much as I can find on this site and others. This site is full of useful articles that can help you decide what type of investing will be best for you. Not that you should limit yourself to only one type. The more knowledge you have, the better off you will be.

Good luck in your investing.
