I’m assuming I would contact the IRS for a payoff statement. Anyone have the direct number for the department handling this? Thx.

1-800-829-8374 May not be appropriate for your area depending on what part of the country you are in, this is the internal revenue service, service center collection branch Cincinnati OH. Also you will need the taxpayers Social Security number, the tax year for which the lien was filed, the amount of the lien and a signed authorization to release confidential information.
