I looked at this when I bought my park a couple of years ago and the
price was $10K. Now I can do everything for $3,700. You will need:

power source for both the camer(s) and the DVR
secure place to house the DVR
access to a phone or cable line

Check out supercircuits.com. You can actually do all the work yourself
and they will walk you through it.

Don’t go wireless and get a DVR that can handle 4 channels. Only buy
name brand stuff like Sony and then you don’t have to worry about
quality.

This is something high on my to-do list and the residents also want it.

I recently purchased a property that I would keep like to keep a closer eye on remotely via internet access. Something as easy as click a link and your propety pops up.
Pan and Zoom function would be a nice bonus.

I remember seeing a nice string of posts about park cameras a bit ago, but technology changes so fast I’d like to know what is quick and easy these days. I am considering paying for Internet service at the property instead of an alarm system service. Value added for the resident and remote service (and hidden access) for the landlord.

I bought a 4 camera system with a DVR on Amazon.com for $599, and a router for $59 for my self storage facilities. It all works great and can be viewed online. We’ve had a break-in since the cameras were installed and got good pictures of the guy’s face, determined his height, and got a picture of his car.
