Most every state has by now enacted some kind of electronic transmissions act*and some will allow a faxed doc to be recorded.
Call and ask the recorder in the state where you want to record if they’ll accept a faxed doc to be recorded. You’ll quickly learn if or how they want them done.
*UETA…Uniform Elecronic Tranmissions Act was the original, developed by the Uniform Laws Group several years back and subsequently adopted in whole or part by most states so as to legalize emails and faxes and make them legally admissible for evidence, etc.
The Uniform Laws Committee has been in business for about 100 years now and has caused a number of other laws to come into effect around the country. Such as UCC which everybody’s heard of.
Look’em up on Google and you can see the list of what they’ve enacted and the states’ versions of them.
I have a document that I need notarized and signed by both me and the seller and finally recorded. The thing is, the seller and I live in different states, and the place where I need to get it sent to be recorded is in another state as well. (3 states involved)
Can anyone chime in on how can I go about doing this?

I’ve been using K7 free fax for sometime now and find it great and very simple to use.
Find on Google and get your free fax number now, then you can have its faxes come into your PC.
I don’t even keep paper in my phone/fax anymore as when I want to preserve any doc I just send it on my fax machine to my K7 fax number and then print it out on my printer.
