I agree; if you have a strategy that makes money in real estate, why not just do more of that instead of running a completely separate business? Perhaps you need to get away from real estate. Why not sell some old junk on eBay?

Hi.

I was just wondering if anyone else is operating any home-based businesses to supplement their RE income. I love RE, but I want to add some other income source as well. Can anyone offer some suggestions? Perhaps what business you’re in and where you started looking for such opportunites.

There are so many facets of RE and all are so different. From RE agent, to rehabber, to wholesaler, etc. You could just start another division aside from what you typically do. Why take the time and energy to educate yourself in a completely different industry. Why take the learning curve, when you are already educated in an industry with a virtually unlimited number of ways to make $$.
