Nodiscount.com and tract homes - Posted by Bob

I’ve been thinking of purchasing the Nodiscount service for $250 to sell my home. I’ve read all their free material and I’ve checked the archive here but I think I might have a question that hasn’t been addressed yet. I also read “Sell your House in 5 Days”. I live in a tract housing development where there are over 15,000 homes that were built 50 years ago. There are 5 differnt styles and of course people have made modifications over the years. My question is how effective is the nodiscount system in reaching maximum price when your home is indexed by the all the other ones that look like it?
Thanks
Bob

I just bought it a few days ago. I’ve learned so much it’s impossible to put a price tag on something like it. There’s no guarantee it will sell your property but I would run it through at least once or twice using ND steps.

The more homes that look like yours the better the nodiscount program will work for you.

Btw…nodiscount is not a service. It’s knowledge.
It’s a service only if you decide to have one of their partners do the work.

Can’t comment on that part since I am not yet a partner. I’ve read the 5 day method and thought it was good reading. It won’t get you top price tho because it attracts bottom feeders looking for deals.

That’s my three cents.

You should ask your question on the nodiscount forum, where there will be more people to answer your question. Be careful of the nodiscount claims. It doesn’t work for everyone.

Hi Jerry,

I understand where you’re coming from on this issue, but disagree with your advice to ask this quesiton elsewhere. To me, the value of this forum is that it is a “generic” or “general” real estate forum. One should be allowed to ask questions about the various methods and authors available and hopefully get some unbiased advice.

Yes, there are other method or author specific (e.g. PacTrust, NoDiscount, legalwiz, etc…) forums out there that can be very helpful. However, I’m a bit suspect as to how unbiased the information is on those sites since they mainly attract proponents.

By the way, I used a slightly modified version of NoDiscount to sell a house last summer and it worked great. I plan on using it again and again because it’s all about marketing.

Your statement that “It doesn’t work for everyone” is valid. Of course it applies to everything including listing with a realtor, getting married, losing weight, etc. In other words, there is nothing that works for everyone.

Just my 2 cents… keep the change.

When was the last time you used the nodiscount steps? I think they’ve fixed many of the holes from previous years.

I am interested in hearing a little more about your experience versus debating over who’s right and who’s wrong.

Thanks
