if you are in a large city you may want to look for other newspapers or publications. Many cities have a renters guide that is much cheaper to place ads in and can produce much better leads but this depends on the city!

I was wondering if any of you have had sucesses running a classifed AD in a major city’s newspaper.

Around here, it costs $100+ to run a ad for Sat/Sun. paper!

I am looking to find a tenant/buyer for a house I have in Georigia.

After 1.5 mos. of no go’s on my L/O, I ran the add in the AJC for $130 or $140 (10 days) and then got hit with tons of calls and one worked out. So it was worth the big bucks for me. I listed in the “for sale” not “for rent section”.
Of course that depends on what part of town, etc. I also look for local places to put up fliers and bandit signs. Also, think of your local market. Does everyone speak Vietnamese around your property? If so, make sure you have some signs and fliers in Vietnamese.
good luck.
