Does anyone know if the new Bankruptcy laws that go into effect Oct 17, 2005 will affect the way we do short sales when lenders foreclose?
Also is there going to be an impact on the foreclosed homeowners?

Thank you

Bankruptcy and foreclosures are two different animals. I personally do not see anything changing from the investors point. Shortsales will not change. Now bankruptcy will be a longer drawn out process. The chapter 7 filings will almost be done away with. Almost all bankruptcies will be chapter13 now with credit counseling. The conseling thing I have mixed feelings about, it could be good and bad depending on the counslers. This is just my opinion, not to be confused as a fact.
