I am not a lawyer. My experience has been that the person(court appointed) handling the bankrupcy can give permission for a sell of the property to be pursued.

I made an offer on a property. The owner is in bancrupcy.property was to be forclosed on before he filed bancrupcy.the property is is disrepair.He owes more than it’s presently worth. My question is does the bancrupcy attorney or court have athority to short sale with banks approval? thanks for your input
