I can get it pulled to my lot for $500, i am not sure what a fair storage fee is.

However the land owner is now asking if i would like to do a writ of possesion and leave the home where it is. I am going to the court house tommorrow morning to see what i can find out.
have any of you do a writ?

I have been trying to buy a 96 14*80 in a park i work with. the lienholder on the title tells me they must have sold the note off and they no longer have interest in the home and have no record of anything. The park owner is old/disable and does not buy homes anymore, he told me if i move it to my “storage lot” i could charge the bank storage. Has any one had any experience with this. It seems that a storage lot could be very profitable.
thanks!

I don’t know the legalities, but this is how towing companies make tons of money on repo’d cars. I know a mover that was keeping oakwood repo’s on his lot, but I’m not sure how the fees worked. It seems the storage fees would be less than lot rent, so the finance company would still come out ahead.
Maybe if you partnered up with a mover, you could really make this fly. You find the deals, he totes 'em, you both split the profits…
Hmmm… I think I’ll look into this!

Patrick,

It “could” be but how much will it cost you to move it to the lot? How much will it cost you to move it to where it needs to go?
Also, do they have the title or are you able to get the title to the home?
