Get the default list. Try the county records. Joe Kiaser has a great book on that info. Good luck and keep your eyes and ears open.

Start by going to your county or public recorder’s office, or clerk of the county court’s office where notices of default (NOD) or foreclosure lawsiuts and notices of lis pendens are recorded in the public record, and ask who in your county compiles and sells information on property owners in foreclosure. If you’re interested in buying pre-foreclosures, do what I did, and read Thomas Lucier’s book, How To Make Money Buying Pre-foreclosure Properties Before They Hit The County Courthouse Steps that’s available at amazon.com. It’s the best book that I’ve read on investing in pre-foreclosure property.
