Anyone familiar with the NACA program for first time buyers? I was thinking about buying a multi-family and renting out to extra units for income. Someone suggested I buy through this program instead of a traditional lender. I’ve never heard of them, but would appreciate feedback from those who have.

From what I hear and experienced some, it is a good program however it may take a long time to get a loan. You have to attend a one day workshop and then schedule a follow up appointment.
The appointments are normally three weeks from the time you call to set up the appointment. If you have credit problems it is a great program because their is no PMI, no downpayment, and good interest rate. You have to live in the house and participate in some of their events or work in their office for a couple of hours (4 times a year)-this was a year ago that I researched them and talked to their staff. Have you thought of working with a mortgage broker? I attended a RE course through Long and Foster and met a good one. Let me know and I will send you the information.

I’ve heard it’s a good program, you need to meet their guidelines for qualification though. You can find more information from their website, here ya go!
