I’m guessing that the equity line is on the property you own with your Dad, or else he wouldn’t be suing! Well, unless you can pay up your Dad will win, probably get a judgement to force your 1/2 of property to him and possibly (depends on State law) attach the property you acquired with the equity line.
Good thing he’s your Dad and not mine. My Dad would’ve kicked me butt severely for a stunt like that. One more reason why I’m a “lone wolf”. Nor partners to answer to or screw me up.
I have a home in my and my dads name well as an equity line. I used the equity line for a real estate property. I signed a paper saying I’d pay back the equity line in the next month. I’m not able to pay the equity line off by the due date. What will happen? Thanks, Brandon
