Thanks, Mr. Hyre for your response. However, you said “normally” they’re the same. Under what circumstances would the “provisional” EIN be changed?

I just applied for an EIN online for a new business. I received a “provisional” EIN. Is this the EIN that my business will have or will the IRS send me the “real” EIN in the mail?
