It could be different for every area. 3-7 is about right. That doesn’t make them motivated however. You need to find the motivated ones. How many, depends on your area and it’s economics, etc. Just find the motivated ones, doesn’t matter how many there are. There will be more and more every day, now that the economy isn’t zooming along.

I’ve heard speakers say that homeowners are moving on average every 3 years; others say every 7 years. Anyone have facts? Also, in a sellers market, what % of homeowners are considered motivated? EX:3%? 5%?
