I recently had my Chapter 7 bankruptcy discharged and would like to get a mortgage with 10-15% down. We have a good and steady income. Is there any mortgage companies who will do this. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Generally you need at least a year from your discharge date. Might depend on where you get the money from too. If it’s a gift it might not work. Check with a good lender/loan officer to see what programs you might fit into. If not today, then down the road. Could also ask this question on the finance part fo this board for Ed Garcia to give you the parameters for getting a traditional loan with a recent BK.
