Anybody heard of Monica Villasenor as a commercial property guru/speaker, author of the book, “The Best Dam n Commercial Real Estate Book” discuss the basics (and not so basic) concepts of investing in commercial real estate, etc.?

I’ve read the book…not the best ever written. It is a good book for beginners and it drove some concepts home for me…but lacked the detail and dealmaking elements everyone raves about from Ray’s book. I still need to spring for that one.
She has a MySpace page and is still working on the condo conversion that she wrote about in the book. The pics look good. I think she will make more money from the publicity/guru carp than actual investing.
She is actually investing though and that is more than some of the gurus can say.

Hey everyone! I’m Monica Villasenor! Just wanted to swing by and introduce myself. I am new to the “guru” business and do not have time to invest go out promoting myself full time as I’m too busy doing deals. I’m only doing seminars this summer. In fact my Denver seminar will probably be my last for the summer until my infomercial is released early next year. Commercial real estate is a tough one to learn with very few people teaching it. I’ve learned a lot by making a ton of mistakes. Learn what you can from who you can. Ask the others for actual pics of their deals with before and after pics. I’m a real person who has made a ton of very real mistakes. I’m not claiming to know everything, but I can offer to guide you through the first few deals and stop you from makings some of the huge mistakes I made. BTW-if writing a book is so easy…all of you are welcome to go do it!!! Keep an open mind and learn as much as you can! Very few people would even think of having a “real” MySpace page with actual pics of deals they have done and posts actual blogs with their real family. I’m about as real deal as it gets…I’ll tell you the crap nobody else will ever think to tell you because what I’m trying to do is have you avoid making the same mistakes I made. I have to tell you how bad I messed up!!!
Honestly, I haven’t even decided if the guru business suits me yet. I wrote the book and it’s just kind of the next step. The infomercial company contacted me about putting a package together and we will see where that leads…so we will see. I’m just going with the flow here. My real love like you guys is real estate investing…I just wrote the book while waiting for my building permits to be issued. Best of luck to you on your real estate investing pursuits!!!
