Mobile Home Workshop - Posted by Tony-VA/NC

October is coming to and end soon and I can’t help but miss the mobile home workshop. Each year here we see new names appear. Some come, some go, some stay and many lurk without posting.
We all learn a great deal by reading the posts but I cannot express how valuable the networking at the workshops has been to me and many others.
You always hear, “it sure is good to put a face with the name.” (Or holy crud…your Tony-VA…I thought you would be taller…).
You get to meet folks investing right in your back yard that you never knew about. Or you meet someone who has been doing your kind of deal for years and years. All have some interesting twist or experience that makes them both entertaining and valuable to you.
I can still here one man from the very first mobile home workshop. He stood up, slapped his forehead and yelled, “now I know how to do that deal!”
He ran out the door and called his wife to begin the deal. He was on cloud nine the rest of the weekend.
I assure you that most, if not all of us have a similar experience at these workshops.
Friendships are formed and the “mastermind team” takes root. Within a few weeks you are calling other regularly to walk through a new deal or problem. They help you and you help them.
Heck, I even got to like Karl!
Last year we meet Lyal in person. Boy if he don’t look like a trailer investor
How about sitting up till 2 am listening to Terry Vaughan? How about spending dinner with Lonnie Scruggs or Ray Alcorn (offer Ray a good cigar and you are in).
The interesting part for me is the folks that read this site but remain quiet. Then you meet them in person and find out just how incredible they are at what they do. You will find these folks sitting in small groups. Suddenly someone jumps up, slaps their forehead and…well you get the picture.
I don’t know about you folks, but I miss not having that workshop this month. I certainly hope another is not far off. Maybe we can convince them to put on another show.

ps. John Hyre’s time is most easily purchased at that sushi bar!
