Would anybody know if all of the above info also applies to doing Lonnie Deals in Texas?
Thanks

MH Deals in NYS - Posted by Tom

Hello,
FYI I just found out a few things about doing Lonnie MH deals in NYS. You do not need a dealer license and you do not collect sales tax on the sale of the used MH. Also there were no titles issued on MH’s manufactured before 1995. I’m told the bill of sale is proof of ownership. Ok, so my question is how would I put a lien on a MH, if I’m doing the financing, if I only have a bill of sale and no title? Also how do I check for a previous lien. As you can tell I’M new to this so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You file a UCC1 financing statement on the Mobile home
to puta lien on it.
Likewise, when buying you check for any lien recorded.
you can do this yourself or pay someone to do it.
Where I am located a lien search (for MHs) cost $20
(well worth the money!)
