I have an opportunity to purchase a marina in Oregon for $1.5 million. It currently has 50 boats slips (18-30 ft) with gasoline sales and boat haul-out. The property has been neglected and needs all new concrete pilings and floats, electrical upgrade, needs 400 ft breakwater for winter storms that come across the bay. I would like to install 75 to 100 slips at (24 to 60 ft).
Anyone with experience on funding this kind of project and any related development experience would be appreciated. Any State or Federal grant monies for such projects? Currently there is a shortage of dock space on the West Coast.
