Retirement/Financial Planning Hint. Most investors wait until April 15 to make their retirement account contributions. Why wait? The sooner you make your contribution the longer the funds have to grow on a tax deferred or tax free basis until retirement. Consider making your IRA contributions on January 4, 1999 and then putting the IRA funds into notes. This gives your IRA contribution roughly 15 and 1/2 months more to grow than if you waited until April 15 of the following year. Think of the compounding possibilities!
