The resident agent’s job is to provide a contact for the public. For example, the resident agent gets notice and service of any lawsuits against the company. As such, it is very importsant to have a reliable RA. If they get notice of a lawsuit and fail to quickly inform you, your company can automatically lose the lawsuit!
