Actually, I don’t believe anonymity is really a benefit of this structure in California. The benefits come more from limited liability, asset protection, and tax benefits. Try the link below for a more detailed answer.
Does anyone know if there is a way to avoid paying the $800.00 minimum tax Ca. imposes on LLC’s (other than disbanding the LLC) Just Curious, Thanks for any input.

If it is already formed I don’t know of any. If you wait until after January 1, 2000 to form it California has a new program where the minimum tax is not due the first year, and there is a modification to the second year as well. The information is at the State’s website.
Maybe Im missing something, but other than anonymity what are the advantages of LLC’s in Ca. $800 bucks is a pretty big hit. Insurance is much cheaper. Any one, what are the advantages. thanks, Bill
