I assume when you say “agent” you mean agent for service of process. There is virtually no liability for this to you. All LLC’s and corps must have an agent so that law suits can be served on them. By being an agent for that entity, all you do is accept service and pass it on to the entity.

All,
I have a friend who wants to list me as the agent for his LLC. I trust my friend, so on that count I have no problems in signing up for it but what I want to know is:
If someone sues the LLC, is there any legal exposure for me or my personal assets since I am the agent?
