Home has been foreclosed on already. So it will be sold. Plus the septic system is in REAL need of replacement.

There is a listing on realtor.com of $1 for 3.45 acres. I was wondering what the catch is to this or is there one? Why would this be on there? Has anyone else seen this? (I’m a newbie, so just curious). Thanks.

In our local MLS there is currently a home listed for $25K. Needs some minor rehab. Standard ranch home with single garage. Not a bad house at all.
One MAJOR problem. Home is in city limits on a river lot. Has a private septic system and well. It was grandfathered in. NOW if it sells you have to hook to city sewer and water. The nearest are a city block away AND they are too shallow so you would need a lift station to reach them.
Rough estimate to do this work. About 60K. Value of home after all is said and done 60K MAX! Current value of home $1.

How should we know? Why don’t you ask the agent?
I have often seen big office buildings listed at $6, $8, $10. That’s not the price of the building it’s the rent per square foot LOL.
I could tell you about properties that sold for a dollar. A friend of mine bought one last year.
I could also tell you about properties I would not buy for $1 because it was more than they are worth.
