A power of attorney to the agent from you should suffice. Run a search, such forms are all over the internet…though I’d still get local legal review, should take a competent local attorney< 1/2 hour for a document that will be reusable again and again.

Limited power of attorney?? - Posted by Rob (IN)

I will be out of town for a closing at the end of the month (on a property I am buying). My real estate agent has agreeded to sign the closing papers in my place. What forms do I need to authorize him to perorfm this function and are these forms available on-line.

It seem to me I shouldn’t need to pay mega-bucks to my attorney for something this simple. Of course I could be mistake.

Any help/advice appreciated.
