Liens

Does foreclosure sale at auction eliminate all liens?

All inferior liens but not their debts

When my foreclosure co is foreclosing on a deed of trust we are required by law to give other (inferior) lien-holders notice so they then have notice of our foreclosure and they have the opportunity to pay the superior lien-holder if they choose.

Their debts still exist and they can file suit in court to collect same unless their i state’s Statute of Limitations has run and cut them off.

And the law is that any inferior lien-holders who haven’t been given the required notice are NOT cut off and their liens still encumber the property.
