Now go find out what husband and wife tenancy means in your state. She might own the property now.

My parents bought a home together 12 years ago. Both of names on the loan. My father passed away recently and I was wondering if an any way that my mother could get the leins removed from the home so she could sell the house? The leins are in my fathers name.

Darren:

A bit more info would help get you and answer. By liens what do yo mean? How much and to whom? The mortgage? IRS? ??

A lot might depend on how your parents held title.

How did they take title? Joint tenants with right of survisorship, tenants in common, husband and wife, community property…how did they own the property?
