I think you mean “licensed agent”. I would check with your local board and state licensing authority to see whether mailing to expired listings is ok as an investor. Generally, mailing to expired listings to get a listing is OK, so I would imagine trying to buy the property would be ok, too.

I am a licensed investor in Illinois and have read the code of ethics for my state but am still confused as to whether I can send postcards/letters to the expired listings that I get from the MLS with the goal of getting some “subject to” business. My concern is that I am targeting a specific group taken directly from the MLS rather than doing a general mailing to a specific farm area.
