That’s the idea of putting the property in trust… so liens placed on the owner won’t attach to the property. however, I don’t think you can be trustee and beneficiary at the same time. you might check with an attorney.

If a property is in a land trust, and the beneficary (original homeowner) has assigned his interest to the trustee (me), could any liens or judgements against the original homeowner, be filed against the property? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
