Of course you do… read your land contract and see what it says about work being done. My contract says the buyer cannot do any major work without permits, which requires my signature as seller. The practical reality is, how are you going to get payment from a lawsuit if they are unable to pay the monthly payments?

IF A PROPERTY IS SOLD ON LAND CONTRACT AND THE HOUSE IS TAKEN BACK FOR NON PAYMENT, DO I, AS THE OWNER, HAVE ANY LEGAL ACTIION AGAINST THIS PERSON IF THEY DAMANGED THE PROPERTY. GUTTED PROPERTY STRIPPED DRYWALL, PULLED ELECTRIC AND PLUMING OUT.
