Know of a Free email to fax service? - Posted by ib (NJ)

I have been using Maxemail for around three years to send and recieve faxes.
It has worked perfectly for me and its real cheap.
No more problems with paper not being in the tray or ink running out at a weird time. Also if your a short sale guy, then you will appreciate that you can fax 50-100 pages or more at one time with no trouble.

Can’t Go Wrong With MaxEMail - Posted by Vic

I use Maxemail & have done so for about 2 years now. I think I pay something like $20/yr or something like that. Not one single problem. Highly recommend them. The fax you receive comes in as an Adobe file so you don’t need any special software other than Adobe. I do not send faxes through it though, mainly cuz I’ve never taken the time to learn how to do it. Perhaps I should then I could get rid of my home phone altogether.

bad experience - Posted by BigV

I once had a bad experience sending a fax using a web based service. Their server went out for a few hours, so the fax I sent at 6PM actually started ringing at 2 AM. It went to a residential address. So, if I were you I’d get a regular fax machine for SENDING faxes.

I used to use efax.com for free. Now I use myfax.com for $10 per month.
