While we are on the subject of New Year’s Resolutions here are some tips for 2003:

When you say you are going to kick start something you sound like a bubbleheaded dweeb, unless you are talking about your 1957 Harley. Don’t do it again. It is never appropriate and it hasn’t been hip since Milli Vanilli split up.

Same with Boot Camps. Unless it is a government sponsored military training program it isn’t a boot camp so don’t make yourself look ridiculous.

And a workshop involves light industrial products, period. If you are manufacturing something tangible for sale it is a workshop, if all you are making is hot air call it a meeting, seminar, kaffeeklatch, whatever, as long as it’s not a workshop.

Have a nice day. What the hell, have 2 nice days.

As the cook at the NCO club used to say:

Man, who tee-teed in YOUR cornflakes this morning?

Dear GL,

Merriam-Webster lists three definitions for “workshop.” Check out the third one.

1 : a small establishment where manufacturing or handicrafts are
carried on
2 : WORKROOM
3 : a usually brief intensive educational program for a relatively small
group of people that focuses especially on techniques and skills in a
particular field
