Interesting post !
Seems to indicate either that you acquired the property knowing (or should have known, with title policy, etc.), or that the J was taken against you and the J holder learned of your property acquisition after you bought it, and then place the lien.
Shouldn’t affect your sale of the proerty but first dollars will have to go to the lien holders.
This is why so many buyers do not take any RE into title in their own names but use a trust, LLC, etc. so their names do NOT appear on any public record.

I want to sell my $8000.00 piece of propery but during title searches etc., I found that a credit card company has a $40,000.00 lien/judgement against it. How do I sell this piece? I do not have money to satisfy any part of that amount of money.
My issue is I have a lien against a property I’m tryin gto refinance. The lien is for 9K and between the mortgage and I, the lien holder will not call us back. The orginal loan holder continues to refer us to the Attorney/Lien Holder. Is there anyone who can help us? We just want to pay the debt!
