Although I got credited with the above statement, I did not submit the above review…somebody “spoofed” me.
I HAVE been to both camps, and DID learn more from Dave’s, but I also enjoyed Scotts and, even if it were true, wouldn’t say what I was credited with saying in a public forum.

Scott is more straight forward to the point and very good at presenting the material. Which those of you that ARE SERIOUS about learning, is VERY important.
If the guy teaching you comes across as vague and IS VAGUE you will waste your time.
We will be attending a Scheel live event in two weeks, we will keep you posted if we remember to come back… lol…

I am a tenant of Scott Scheel. He is a horrible landlord. He has been abrasive and rude when anyone from the business has tried to speak to him. Our lease says he is to maintain our heating system. He has not! WE HAVE NO HEAT!!!
We constantly are having water leaking in. He refuses to do anything about it. He screamed at me this morning he can’t fix the leaks becasue we occupy the space.
And this is the person you want to teach you real estate and how to work with people. NOT!!!
He is called “SLIME” and “SLIMEBALL” in his hometown.
I don’t trust a word that comes out of his mouth. Neither should you.

I’ve been to both Boot Camps. Dave’s was the best by far. Dave specializes in Apartments and owns over 600 units. If that’s what your looking for, there is no better teacher than Dave Lindahl. His Boot Camp is all meat!
Scott’s was O.K., after listening to him tell us how lucky we were to be in his presence (boring) he finally got down to business.
Scott’s done a couple of deals and readily admits that he hasn’t done alot of what he teaches.
Dave’s been there, done that and it shows in the quality of information that is provided and his ability to tell you what to do and what to watch out for when getting in and out of deals.

I have had a real experience with Scott Scheel. I have ahd the misfortune to do business in one of Scott’s holdings. He has not fixed our heating even though th lease says he is required to do so. He is very rude and obnoxious. From dealing with him ti is obvious he did not go to college. His grammar is that of a 10 year old.
He sreams at his tenants and harasses them.
My real expereince with Scott has been nothing but bad. He bought a property that my business was occupying.
Scott Scheel is a legend in his own mind.
He’s bad news!!!

JCF, I seriously doubt that when you have a problem with your tenant space that Scott is the person you should call. I was just at his one day boot camp in NYC yesterday, and one of the things he stresses is to get somebody to manage the property for you. So I’m sure that you don’t deal with Scott directly.
It sounds like you just have something personal against him.
Why don’t you get creative, take his course, and then structure a deal to buy the bldg. from him? If it has no heat and the roof is leaking you should be able to get a really good deal.

I have a suite in Scott’s building and could not
be happier. In the summer it’s cool and in the winter it’s warm. My 1200 sq ft office with a full bath/shower is great and the envy of those that see it. Scott has an excellent reputation in Cleveland and I found his bootcamp to be excellent.
