No, this is not discrimination. The seller chooses not to tie up the property while you sell your home. It is his choice. He is not discriminating against you because of your race, or religion, or sex or any of the prohibited factors. This is not an illegal practice.
I am trying to buy a new home in arizona to live in, but the builder of the home says they wont let me sign a contract unless my current home is under contract to be sold. They dont want to sell to investors, only to owner occupants. They are going to take 6 months to build this home so i dont understand how they can expect me to put my house on the market and then have my buyer wait 6 months to close? Am i supposed to be homeless for that amount of time? Or throw my money away on a budget suite? The market in this town is really hot and every week i have to wait the price of the home increases. What can i do if anything?
