Mindset: Part of the benefit of the trainings that people offer and this group is that you can alter your mindset. Altering your mind set is easier through talking with people, having others share that it is possible, and taking courses where you are exposed to other people do it.
Until you believe it emotionally and you have tools to make things happen then you stay stuck in the " no deals" mindset or “you can’t buy real estate without money mindset.”
Ultimately, if your areas is not as easy to do real estate then move. If you did an analysis there are some areas that are doing better but I think in most markets you can find a way to be making money in real estate. The people with the right mindset will find those ways.

Reminds me of our first rehab project we looked at last year. We spend two hours at the house measuring it. Writing down everything that needed done, then taking Carlton Sheets manual doing calculation, estimated repairs. Going home and calling Lowes for prices, calling a plumber, having an inspector come out for an inspection, more calls, weeks later we were ready for the auction, really nervous. We didnt buy.
Then I look at the rehabber I bought at auction a few weeks ago. I did a walk through a half an hour before the auction, did some calculations, the real estate sold an hour later then I thought, so I gave my friend a check and told him how much to pay. He called me an hour and a half later and said I bought another property.
Time and experience and some successes definitly increase the speed and effectiveness.
