Yes, you get your portion of the deductions for the perdiod that you were a co-owner.

I was co-owner to a residential property, on the mortgage and title/deed. The relationship did not work out, I signed the quit claim deed, and the other owner refinanced the home clearing my name from the mortgage. We did come up with a small settlement amount. Do I still have the right to claim the taxes for the period I owned the house until I signed over the quit claim deed or until I came off the loan?
