Tax Liens survive bankruptcy…they are the most senior lien against property.
Chap 13 is a workout type of BK and most likely the court will insist that the tax lien be paid off in any workout plan that is acceptable to the court and you will be paid off.
I’m new to this. I bought a tax sale certificate at the annual county sale last November and now I get a notice that the homeowners are filing chapter 13. Should I file with the county for a sale-in-error? Do I need to file something with the bankruptcy court? Thanks for the help!
