Chris, If I’m understanding you correctly, you’ve identified a property owned by an LLC, you know the LLC’s name, but can’t find contact info for them.
In my state, on the Secretary Of State website there is a searchable database of registered company names along with the members of the LLC and their contact info.
If your SOS doesn’t have a website, then contact them via phone and they’ll tell you how to get the info you need.
Ideas on rooting out these private LLCs? - Posted by ChrisC

Dear Pro’s and Newbies -
I recently searched through the Property Transfer records going back one year and I found around 40 Investment co’s (many LLC’s). Problem is I only found 2 that were on the local “Builders Association” website. The rest I tried searching on the Internet, local Yellow pages and a local library’s database, without any luck.
Does anyone have some ideas on how to unearth their phone/address? Do I have to hire a private detective?
Your State’s Secretary of State’s office. But, why in the world would you want to contact them, they are probably some of the most unmotivated seller’s I could think of.
