Try craigslist ‘free’ section among others. Also, facebook is becoming pretty hot…

Ideas for Cleaning Out an Abandoned House? - Posted by IB (NJ)

Flipping a house owned by an estate and it’s vacant right now. I have to deliver it to the buyers in broom swept condition and there’s some furniture and junk that needs to go. I want to get a dumpster but will likely need 2 just for the furniture. Any other ideas on how to get rid of this stuff?
I was thinking of holding an “indoor garage sale” where folks come IN the house and just make offers on the junk there.
Is there a place that will pick up unwanted furniture?

Hi IB. Where’s the house? If it’s in the JC/Newark/Bayonne/Hoboken
area, you’ve got a ready and live audience waiting. Go with your
“indoor garage sale idea.” Advertise on craigslist, with a few pix, that
you want someone to take everything…must take all. You may even
find someone to take everything and give you “broom swept.”
Seriously, I’ve done of few of these recently, and there are a lot of
takers out there right now for cheap/free stuff, where they provide
labor and hauling. Best of success in getting rid of it soon, Kristine
