Get the street address, then go to the town hall and ask them who the last owner of record was for that address. I’ve done that and gotten a name and current address before (though the town hall didn’t have a phone number).

i filled out a form on www.housevalues.com to give me an idea of how much a property that i was looking at was worth. i had to put the address of the property phone # and other detailed info so the site could figure out the value of the house. i just got an email from them saying the will send my information to a real estate agent around the area of the house so they can figure out the value. I’m worried that the real esate agents might contact the seller and offer to sell her house for her. the seller hasnt signed a purchase agreement form yet. do i have anything to worry about??? is there a possibility they might contact the seller and offer to sell her the house??

If they are selling FSBO, they have probably already been contacted by several realtors. As soon as you put up a FSBO sign in your front yard, most of the calls are realtors offering their services. It’s up to the seller whether to use one.

hi
most of the time they do not respond.
i hope you gave them your phone number and email address because you know a realtor will try to get your sale if they can.
in the future either go to the real estate tax office
and see what it is assessed for then add 20% or see what other houses are selling for in ads, or go to realtor .com and pull up the houses in that area.
if a realtor does contact the person and they tell you then ask if they would rather pay a 6% commission or let you handle it.
hope this helps.
have a great day!

adding 20% to your tax assessed value will not find true comps. There is only one way to do that effectively and that is to find true sales in the area. Sometimes tax assessment is 50K off in my neck of the woods…

Hope this helps,
