Why don’t you say where you are? Some resources are not located everywhere.

Go to www.craigslist.com if there is one near you. A FREE online classified service.

Look in the local newspaper classified ads and the classified newspapers. You will both new and used carpet for sale from time to time.

Most dedicated carpet stores sell remnants, which are odd-sized leftovers off the roll from big jobs. 10x12 is kind of a big remnant, but not unheard of. It’ll be cheap, but you won’t get to pick the color.
