That will work depending on the seller. The one I use states that we’ll pay the earnest money deposit at closing.

Ok. Back to earnest money deposits. What if I gave the seller a promisorry note as earnest money now and tell them in the contract that I will pay the promisorry note in full AFTER the property is inspected, but prior to closing?
