Try to find a property manager that handles Section 8 houses. These rentals usually require a lot of maintenance because of the yearly inspections. Once you find a few managers try to find out who they are using as a handyman and see if they might be available after hours or on the weekends.

Need some ideas on how to find a handyman for my rentals in a new town. I need to find someone around the $15 an hour price level. The guys that work for the realtors are too expensive and too busy. I need to find a part-timer who is looking for work.
Drive by new construction sites, ask the people working there what you’re looking for. A lot of times you will find people who may work at nights, weekends or holidays.
Usually they will charge you a whole lot less since this is work that they can do in their spare time.
