We’ve found an abandoned house in a community near Dallas where the real estate market is very tight…meaning that it is selling at a premium. We’ve discovered that an out of state bank owns the property, but they have not responded to our telephonic inquiries. We have contacted the property appraisal district in our county and gotten information that they have evaluated the home at “15% good”, whatever that means. We would like to know, step by step, how to proceed. In the meantime, I have asked my wife to carefully contact some local real estate companies to get comps for that neighborhood. We would appreciate any suggestions.
