The probate office gave me the info, I just wanted to make sure the heir, or trustee of the estate could sell the property, while in probate, without any siblings holding up the sale. I am not familiar with the entire probate process, but it’s not as dificult as I thought. I am just purchasing in other avenues of aquisition. Thanks for the advice though.

I am looking to purchase a home in probate. Could anyone help me with the process I will be facing? Property located in FL. Thanks in advance, this seems like a whole new ball game.

“Looking to buy home in probate”…? You mean you are wanting specifically to buy from a probate?

Why?

With any realty in probate, the lawyer representing the estate could tell you who to deal with…or if he/she can’t be reached, the court file can tell you who’s been appointed by the court to handle the assets and you can contact that person.

I was unsure if the process would be the same as any other purchase, but I followed up at the courthouse today, and they said if I had a contract, the deal would close as any other would. Thanks for the advice, I didn’t think of contacting the lawyer. I will give it a try, but I have been un-successfull with contacting lawyers in the past (pre-foreclosures.

While you don’t say who “they” is, (who gave you the info)it’s basically correct…if deceased entered into a valid contract, his estate is legally obligated to perform as agreed.
